GROUP 1 CREW AND XYQ, INC. TEAM UP TO LAUNCH XPANDED REALITY™ CAMPAIGN FOR THE DUO’S FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM, FEARLESS, DUE OUT SEPTEMBER 10
Group 1 Crew is partnering with XYQ, Inc. to create an Xpanded Reality™ experience around their Fearless album launch. Using XYQ’s new Super App, Q-itUp!, fans can point their mobile device at the album cover and watch the scene come alive.
XYQ’s innovative technology will give fans immediate access to exclusive content from the group. “I’m really excited to see people’s reactions to this app,” said Manwell from Group 1 Crew. “This new form of media opens up exclusive content in a way people haven’t seen before and I’m thrilled to be a part of it!”
To trigger the album cover’s Xpanded Reality™ experience, fans need to download the free Q-itUp! app to their mobile device and then aim it at the cover image. Group 1 Crew’s Blanca and Manwell will seem to emerge from the burning city to welcome the viewer to the “Fearless Experience” that includes 30-second samples of each song on the album, new tracks that can’t be heard anywhere else and an exclusive download.
Leading up to the album launch, Group 1 Crew has released an additional five devotionals from their “What He Said” video series at www.Group1Crew.com. Last week, the duo unveiled the story behind the song, “He Said,” and devotionals covering “Fear,” “Belonging” and “Striving To Be Perfect.” The new videos cover topics including, “Heartache,” “Value In Christ,” “Anxiety,” “Self-Image” and “Trust.” Each video displays a corresponding Bible verse when it is shared on Facebook and Twitter. The final devotional is set to be released late this week.
