Word Entertainment will be keeping fans checked in for an exclusive VIP experience with the launch of the all-new Checkd.In program for Dove Awards “Artist of the Year” Francesca Battistelli and “New Artist of the Year” Chris August as well as CCM favorite Sidewalk Prophets today, May 17, 2011. Designed for the ultimate fan, these campaigns give followers a chance to check in both offline at any artist concert, retail outlet, and even favorite spot to eat as well as online at the artist’s website or online store. Adding to the excitement of Word’s 60th anniversary milestone year, the label is leading the charge by being the first CCM company to bring this technology to the genre.

Points are earned by “checking-in” and are then redeemed for prizes, including 10% off in the onlines store, free music downloads and uStream chats with the artists. This coming August, one lucky Francesca Battistelli, Chris August and Sidewalk Prophets’ fan will be chosen to win a grand prize including a VIP experience at a concert near them.
